Cincinnati Reds agree to terms with free agent Mike Moustakas

The Cincinnati Reds are adding a big bat to their lineup, according to media reports.

The Reds and free agent infielder Mike Moustakas have agreed on a four-year, $64-million deal, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network. That would be the biggest free agent signing in Reds history. The Reds have not made the deal official.

Moustakas, 31, was an National League All Star last season, hitting 35 home runs with 87 RBIs for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Primarily a third baseman, Moustakas started 40 games last season at second base, the position he figures to occupy for the Reds with Eugenio Suarez (third base), Freddy Galvis (shortstop) and Joey Votto (first base) penciled into the other infield spots.

Prior to joining the Brewers, Moustakas spent 7 1/2 seasons with the Kansas City Royals. He was a two-time all-star for Kansas City.
