Report: NFL to suspend Johnny Manziel for four games

The National Football League has suspended former Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel for the first four games of the 2016 season for violating the league's substance abuse policy, according to nfl.com.

Since being cut from the Browns, Manziel has had multiple run-ins with the law, and has been seen partying more than preparing to be picked up by another NFL team.

Manziel’s father told ESPN that the family has tried everything to help him with his substance abuse issues but nothing has worked.

The Browns cut Manziel in March after two disappointing seasons.
