HS Roundup 12/18: Curtis scores 47 in Xenia win

UC commit Samari Curtis exploded for 47 points in the Xenia’s 100-90 win versus West Carrollton in boys basketball on Tuesday.

Daviohn Boccara added 15 points for Xenia.

Ryan Brown had 33 points and James Hall 20 for West Carrollton, which had four players in double-digit scoring.

Catholic Central 72, Greenon 43: Mykah Eichey scored 22 points, Sabien Doolittle 21 and Trey Dunn 20 for Catholic Central. Cade Rice totaled 18 points for Greenon.

Emmanuel Christian 69, Yellow Springs 36: Adonis Davis scored 21 points and Fred Shropshire tacked on 13 points with 11 rebounds for EC.

Harrison 51, Edgewood 50: Isiah Gambrell had 23 points and Gabe Allen added 14 but Edgewood fell to a Harrison rally.

Jefferson 60, Dayton Christian 52: Cavonne Richardson recorded 24 points and Colbert Bosen had 15 points with 10 rebounds to lead Jefferson.

Miami East 41, Arcanum 26: Will Hudson had 17 points with 12 rebounds and Miami East pulled away in the second half. Carter Gray scored 13 points for Arcanum.

Middletown 54, Belmont 49: Aaron Jones scored 21 points and Johrdon Mumford 10 for Middletown. Logan Moore led Belmont with 12 points.

Northeastern 50, Triad 47: Noah Fenton netted 14 points and Michael Burns 11 to lead Northeastern. Drew Campbell tallied a career-high 23 points for Triad.

Piqua 70, Evansville 47: Qurri Tucker paced Piqua with 25 points and Trey Richmond tacked on 18.

Ross 60, Mount Healthy 49: Ben Yeager recorded 15 points, Dylan Zimmerman 12 and Cooper Shields 11 for Ross.

Sidney 51, Butler 46: Andre Gordon led the way with 18 points and Ratez Roberts added 16 points with 13 rebounds. Michael Kreill and Bryant Johnson paced Butler with 13 points apiece.

Springboro 55, Wilmington 44: Michael Berner scored 17 points, Noah Moser 12 and Garett Powell 10 for ‘Boro.

Stivers 75, Miami Valley 40: Antonnio Aubrey tallied 11 points, helping Stivers improve to 6-0.

Tri-Village 36, Newton 32: Darrell Lee led Tri-Village with 14 points and Derek Eyer chipped in 13. Ryan Mollette netted 13 points for Newton.

Troy 56, Tippecanoe 55: Austin Stanaford tallied 15 points for Troy, which hit a foul shot in the closing seconds to secure the win. Nolan Mader totaled 17 points for Tipp.

Wayne 67, Miamisburg 61: Tallice Landers led Wayne with 20 points, Ronnie Hampton chipped in 19 and Brenden Hill 11. Duncan Hall had 17 points and Dane Hall 15 for ‘Burg.

Winton Woods 69, Ponitz 64: Damonte Bailey paced Ponitz with 16 points in a losing effort.

Girls Basketball

Anna 40, New Knoxville 37: Lauren Barhorst led Anna with 18 points and 11 rebounds and Kiplyn Rowland added 11 points. Megan Jurosic netted 12 points for New Knoxville.

Fort Loramie 59, New Bremen 38: Ava Sholtis finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds for Fort Loramie. Hanna Tenkman tallied 11 points to lead New Bremen.

Ben Logan 2647, Jonathan Alder 2614: Tyler Nicholas had a 459 series to help Ben Logan hand Jonathan Alder its first loss.

Greeneview 2366, Southeastern 2161: Braedon Brenneman rolled a 356 series and Adam Schorman added a 350 for Greeneview.

West Liberty-Salem 2040, Northeastern 1907: Hunter Smith and Andrew McCall each bowled a 188 game to lead WLS.
