HS Roundup 4/24: Kenton Ridge baseball wins seventh straight

Kenton Ridge won a seventh straight game with a 4-1 victory versus Bellefontaine in baseball on Wednesday.

Garrett Kelly and Matt Tateman tallied two hits and one RBI apiece to lead the offense and on the mound Collin Perkins pitched a complete-game three-hitter.

Isaac Newman had two hits to lead Bellefontaine.

Baseball

Ben Logan 4, Graham 0: Carter Rees tossed a complete-game shutout and Garrett Dixon was 2-for-3 at the plate to pace Ben Logan.

Indian Lake 4, North Union 1: Ethan Fulkerson and Jacob Zarnosky each had a pair of hits and Trenton Fulkerson picked up the win on the mound for Indian Lake.

Mason 3, Fairfield 1: Cameron Tenhundfeld had a pair of hits and Fairfield jumped ahead when Ricky Berrios scored a run in the third inning but Mason took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth.

Northridge 5, Dixie 4: Northridge tallied the win in extra innings.

Southeastern 4, West Liberty-Salem 1: WLS struck first with a run in the first inning but Southeastern pulled ahead for good with three runs in the fourth.

Tecumseh 5, London 1: Payton Shannon put together a solid start on the mound and Davey Berner plated a pair of insurance runs to help Tecumseh secure the victory.

Softball

Arcanum 10, National Trail 1: Arcanum pushed across six runs in the sixth inning to put the game out of reach. Lauren Sargeant doubled in the lone run for National Trail.

Badin 14, Carroll 1: Sydney Feenstra and Caitlyn Smith had three hits apiece with Feenstra driving in three runs and Smith plating two. Emma Kent added two doubles with two RBI.

Ben Logan 4, Graham 0: Gretchen Wilber drove in a pair of runs and Grace Deardurff struck out 12 in the circle to lead Ben Logan.

Kenton Ridge 4, Bellefontaine 2: Kelcie Schnitzler picked up the win and Audrey Fyffe and Bree Trainer tallied two hits apiece to pace Kenton Ridge. Avery Moore went 2-for-3 with a triple for Bellefontaine.

Southeastern 5, West Liberty-Salem 1: Avery Shepherd homered and drove in three runs for Southeastern and Autumn Jones added a double. Camrin Rice recorded two doubles for WLS.

Tecumseh 9, London 4: Abby O’Bryant finished 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBI and Bailey Drews and Logan Markstrom each had two hits with a triple and two runs scored for Tecumseh.

Triad 10, Miami East 5: Kendell Hughes and Joni Russell each recorded two hits to lead Triad, which scored three runs in the third and six in the fourth to take control of the contest.

Boys Tennis

Centerville 4, Tecumseh 1: Mir Ali and Saad Haq scored singles wins for Centerville. Jacob Lewis won in first singles for Tecumseh.

Dixie 5, Stivers 0: Alex Perminov and the doubles duo of Lukas Simoni/Luke Singleton won their matches with scores of 6-0, 6-0.

Fenwick 5, Princeton 0: Tim Erhart, Hunter Lippert and Connor Powers all had singles wins to pace Fenwick.

Milton-Union 3, Oakwood 2: Milton-Union swept the singles matches and Oakwood won both doubles matches.

Boys Volleyball

Beavercreek 3, Northmont 0: Hogan Franck tallied 13 kills with 11 digs, Jarrod Brown added 34 assists and Anthony Sanfilippo had two blocks and 10 kills to lead ‘Creek.

West Clermont 3, Edgewood 2: Drew Vallandingham and Griffin Smith totaled 16 kills apiece and Jacob Insprucker added two aces for Edgewood.
