HS Roundup 11/23: Marion Local defeats New Bremen in football

Another year, another regional final win for Marion Local.

The Flyers defeated New Bremen 27-0 on Saturday night, securing the team’s ninth consecutive regional title. A blocked punt helped Marion Local jump out to a 21-0 lead late in the third quarter that held up.

Girls Basketball

Miamisburg 59, Middletown 53: Anna Long had 21, Abby Carter had 15 for the Vikings.

Fairmont 55, Roger Bacon 29: Fairmont was led by Madeline Westbeld’s 17 points. Makira Webster added 15.

Franklin Monroe 54, Arcanum 39: Franklin Monroe’s Corina Conley had 24, Belle Cable had 12 and Chloe Brumbaugh had 9.

Clark Montessori 61, Cin. Christian School 43: Cin. Christian was led by Miranda Heid’s 14 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Badin 54, St. Ursula 42: Badin was led by Shelby Nusbaum and Lizzy Meyer, who combined for 24 points off the bench.
