HS Roundup 8/6: Ricketts paces Ben Logan at Ross Hogue Tournament

Boys Golf

Ross Hogue Tournament: Ethan Ricketts of Ben Logan led the field with a 78, spurring Ben Logan to second place overall. Lima Central Catholic won with a 352, Ben Logan had a 353 and Sidney 356.

Mercer County Invitational: Carson Muhlenkamp hauled in medalist honors, shooting a 77 to lead Coldwater to a win in the tournament. Teammate Collin Muhlenkamp finished fourth with an 87. Coldwater scored a 353, St. Henry 358 and Parkway 402.

Cardinal Invitational: Grant Koenig tallied a 74, earning medalist honors and leading Minster to a win. Fort Loramie, led by co-runner-up Adam Ballas with a 77, was second. St. Marys finished third.

Urbana Invitational: Fairbanks shot a 327 to win the tournament, Tippecanoe had a 339 and Northmont a 349. Troy and Tecumseh rounded out the top five. Brendan Siehl and Josh Harbaum each posted an 83 for Northmont.

Ben Logan Invitational: Josh Kochosperger posted a 74 to lead Beavercreek to a second-place finish. Kenton Ridge won the event with a 332 and Ben Logan placed third. Ethan Ricketts led Ben Logan with a 78.

Preble County Tournament: Tyler Porter paced National Trail with a 101 and Khyler Grant had a 103 for National Trail, which finished fourth.

Shelby County Athletic League Golf Preview: Bryce Cobb of Anna and Zach Pleiman of Fort Loramie each carded a 76 to lead the field. Cole Maurer and Carter Gordon added a pair of 79s for Anna, which won the tournament. Fort Loramie plaed second and Fairlawn third.

Greeneview 179, Greenon 208: Mason Witt posted a 39 and Myles Witt a 43 to lead Greeneview to a season-opening win.

Northeastern 178, West Liberty-Salem 191: Patrick Harr tallied a 44 to lead WLS.

Cedarville 187, Greenon 188: Logan Brennaman led the field with a 38 for Cedarville. Ian Anderson had a 42 for Greenon.

Girls Golf

Lady Bucc Invitational: St. Henry scored 355, Versailles 369 and National Trail 382 at the invitational. Kenna Jenkinson paced Greenville with an 81.

Fairbanks 197, Madison Plains 271. Gabby Vamos and Mary Weisburn were co-medalists for Fairbanks with a score of 47.

Greenon 218, Greeneview 222: Rachel Strickle shot a 51 in a losing effort for Greeneview.
