Springfield High School grad Danny Davis did just that Saturday night in Wisconsin’s 34-24 win over Miami in the Orange Bowl. The freshman wideout caught touchdown passes of 20, 5 and 6 yards from Alex Hornibrook as the Badgers (13-1) rallied from an early 14-3 deficit to cap the winningest season in school history.

Davis finished with five receptions for 56 yards. He’s the first Wisconsin receiver with multiple TD catches in a bowl game.

The 6-foot, 186-pounder finished the season with 26 catches for 418 yards and five TDs.

Wisconsin’s win pushed the Big Ten’s bowl record to 7-0. The conference can complete a perfect bowl season if Michigan beats South Carolina on Monday in the Outback Bowl.
