»LOOKING BACK: Beals coaches Buckeyes to Big Ten title in 2016
Beals is 500-397-1 in his career and is 257-195-1 at Ohio State.
“Five hundred wins means you've been around a little bit,” Beals said in a press release. “Eight years at Ball State, eight years here at Ohio State. I learned as a young man that you win with people and I'm certainly a product of that. It makes you think about family and I think about my players. Players win games and this may be my 500th win, but everyone was a part of it."

Beals hit the milestone 11 years after his mentor Tom Randall, who coached him at Kenton Ridge and has had a huge influence on his life and career.
Randall had similar comments after his 500th win in 2007, his final year as a coach.
”It means a lot,” Randall said. “Once again, I'll say it: It was a milestone. But I've got to give credit to my kids. I've been very lucky with my assistant coaches over the years. Everybody contributes. You go to coach (Woody) Hayes or coach (Vince) Lombardi's statement, 'You win with people.'"
Congrats, @bealsy9.
