Here is a quick glance at each of those games:

Dec. 24, 2016 — Houston Texans 12, Cincinnati Bengals 10 at NRG Stadium

The Texans celebrated a division-clinching win in a nationally televised Saturday night game when Bengals kicker Randy Bullock’s 43-yard field goal at the gun missed wide right. Held to three points for more than 49 minutes, the Bengals got an 86-yard touchdown pass from Andy Dalton to Brandon LaFell to take the lead early in the fourth quarter. The Texans answered with a go-ahead touchdown a few minutes later, setting the stage for the Bengals to drive 60 yards and consume the final 3:46 off the clock only to see Bullock’s kick said wide.

Dec. 24, 2011 – Cincinnati Bengals 23, Arizona Cardinals 16 at Paul Brown Stadium

The Bengals raced out to a 23-0 lead and survived an Arizona rally that saw the Cardinals score 16 fourth-quarter points and reach the Cincinnati 34 on their final drive. Andy Dalton threw a pair of touchdown passes, including one to Jerome Simpson in which the wide receiver did a flying flip into the end zone .

Dec. 24, 2006 – Denver Broncos 24, Cincinnati Bengals 23 at INVESCO Field at Mile High

Carson Palmer hit T.J. Houshmandzadeh for a 10-yard touchdown to cut the Denver lead to 24-23 with 46 seconds to go, but Brad St. Louis’ sailed the snap wide of holder Kyle Larson on the extra-point try, leaving the Bengals one point shy. Denver recovered the onside kick to send Cincinnati to its second of three consecutive losses to end the season one win shy of the playoffs.

Dec. 24, 2005 – Buffalo Bills 37, Cincinnati Bengals 27 at Paul Brown Stadium

Kelly Holcomb threw for 308 yards and a touchdown while also running for a score as 4-10 Buffalo outscored the Bengals 17-3 in the fourth quarter to eliminate Cincinnati from earning a first-round bye.

Dec. 24, 2000 – Philadelphia Eagles 16, Cincinnati Bengals 7 at Veterans Stadium

Donovan McNabb threw for 198 yards and a touchdown and David Akers kicked three field goals as Philadelphia clinched a wild-card berth in the season finale, dropping the Bengals to 4-12.

Dec. 24, 1995 – Cincinnati Bengals 27, Minnesota Vikings 24 at Riverfront Stadium

Doug Pelfrey kicked a 51-yard field goal as time expired to finish off a run of 24 unanswered points as the Bengals overcame a 24-3 halftime deficit to beat a Minnesota team that featured future Hall of Famers Cris Carter and Warren Moon. Jeff Blake threw touchdown passes to Carl Pickens and Tony McGee, and Eric Bienemy ran for a score to key the comeback.

Dec. 24, 1994 – Cincinnati Bengals 33, Philadelphia Eagles 30 at Riverfront Stadium

The Bengals scored twice in the final three seconds as Doug Pelfrey hit a 22-yard field goal to tie the game and, after the Eagles mishandled a squib kick, and a 54-yarder to win it as time expired. The Bengals rallied from a 27-10 deficit but outscoring the Eagles 23-3 over the final 20 minutes on a Jeff Blake touchdown pass to Tony McGee, a Harold Green scoring run and Pelfrey’s second, third and fourth field goals of the game.
