Sept. 10, 2012 – Baltimore Ravens 44, Cincinnati Bengals 13 at M&T Bank Stadium

Opening the season on Monday Night Football, the Bengals got outscored 27-0 over the final 24 minutes. Baltimore running back Ray Rice ran for two touchdowns, safety Ed Reed had an interception return for a score as the Ravens defense sacked Andy Dalton four times.

Sept. 10, 2007 – Cincinnati Bengals 27, Baltimore Ravens 20 at Paul Brown Stadium

Opening the season on Monday Night Football for the first time in franchise history, the Bengals answered Ed Reed’s go-ahead 63-yard punt return touchdown with a 7-yard pass from Carson Palmer to T.J. Houshmandzadeh and a Rudi Johnson two-point run with 8:48 remaining.

Sept. 10, 2006 – Cincinnati Bengals 23, Kansas City Chiefs 10 at Arrowhead Stadium.

Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer made a triumphant return less than nine months from ACL surgery, but the story in this game was Kansas City quarterback Trent Green. The Bengals recorded seven sacks, and defensive end Robert Geathers knocked Green out of the game with a controversial hit as the quarterback was going into a slide after a scramble. The game was delayed for 11 minutes while trainers tended to Green. Rudi Johnson and Kenny Watson rushed for Bengals touchdowns, and Shayne Graham kicked three field goals.

Sept. 10, 2000 – Cleveland Browns 24, Cincinnati Bengals 7 at Paul Brown Stadium

After a Week 1 bye, the Bengals opened PBS with a thud as Cleveland quarterback Tim Couch threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns while Cincinnati starter Akili Smith was a dismal 15 of 43 with two interceptions. Miami University graduate Travis Prentice scored the first touchdown in PBS history on a 16-yard run with 3:43 left in the first quarter.

Sept. 10, 1995 – Cincinnati Bengals 24, Jacksonville Jaguars 17 at Cinergy Field

Jeff Blake threw for 247 yards with touchdown passes of 3 yards to Melvin Tuten and a 68-yarder to Carl Pickens that put the Bengals up 14 in the fourth quarter. Harold Green added a 10-yard scoring run and the Cincinnati defense recorded seven sacks against Jaguars quarterbacks Mark Brunell and Steve Beuerlein.

Sept. 10, 1989 – Chicago Bears 17, Cincinnati Bengals 14

In their first game since the final-minute loss to San Francisco in Super Bowl XXIII, the Bengals watched the Bears rally for the game-winning touchdown on a 20-yard pass from Mike Tomczak to James Thornton with 10:06 to go.

Sept. 10, 1978 – Cleveland Browns 13, Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Municipal Stadium

The Bengals jumped out to a 10-0 lead on a Don Pass 51-yard touchdown reception from John Reaves and a Chris Bahr field goal. But the Browns tied the game on a fourth-quarter touchdown pass from Brian Sipe to Reggie Rucker and won it on a Don Crockroft field goal in overtime as the Bengals dropped their second straight on the way to an 0-8 start.
