Top returning RB’s in SWBL Buckeye

The top returning rushers in the Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division from the 2015 high school football season. Teams are Carlisle, Dixie, Madison, Milton-Union, Northridge, Preble Shawnee and Waynesville.

Carlisle senior Ridge Reed and Milton-Union junior Zac Shields both surpassed 1,000 yards rushing last season. Reed led the entire SWBL in regular-season rushing and totaled 1,825 yards and 20 total touchdowns in 11 games. He also ran for 394 yards on 32 carries in a 57-36 Week 5 win at Northridge. Carlisle (6-5, 4-2), lost 41-0 to Brookville in a D-V playoff opener.

Shields was fifth overall among all SWBL rushers in the regular season, going for 1,049 yards in 192 carries, good for nine touchdowns. Milton-Union (6-5) was defeated by Greeneview 35-34 in the first round of the D-V playoffs.
