Tri-County North senior Hailey Thies placed third in the girls Division III state track and field long jump (17-8.50) on Friday at OSU’s Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

Wheelersburg’s Ellie Ruby won the event (18-6.50).

The meet concludes on Saturday.
