Two Bengals invited to NFL Rookie Premiere

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross and Joe Mixon are two of the 40 players who will attend the NFL Players Association Rookie Premiere this weekend in Los Angeles.

“I can’t wait for it,” Mixon said. “I’m very excited to be there. I heard John’s going out there, so we’ll be hanging out.”

The rookie premiere includes a business orientation, with the highlight of the weekend being a chance to be photographed in their official uniforms and getting a look at their Madden likeness and rankings.

All 40 invitees are offensive players. The full list can be found here.

One drawback to the event is the players who are still getting acclimated to their new offense and teammates will miss a day of voluntary workouts, but Mixon said he isn’t concerned about that.

“I’ll try to get ahead before I leave and then by the time I come back I’ll still be in good shape,” he said. “Out there I’ll still be working out, so it ain’t like I’ll be losing a step.”
