Series history: UMass leads 14-12. The Minutemen beat the Flyers twice last season: 62-60 on Jan. 6 at UD Arena and 86-82 in double overtime on Feb. 3 in Amherst, Mass.

Coaches: Anthony Grant is 24-22 in his second season at Dayton. Matt McCall is 20-28 in his second season at UMass.

About UMass: The team's second-leading scorer, Jonathan Laurent (11.8), a transfer from Rutgers who didn't play against Saint Louis because of an ankle injury but is expected to play Sunday, according to the Daily Hampshire Gazette. … Clergeot played his freshman season at Memphis.

Hall of Fame class: The UD Athletic Hall of Fame will induct three new members this weekend. They will be honored at halftime Sunday. They are: Justine Raterman, a 2012 graduate who scored 1,832 points in basketball career and is now an assistant coach at Miami University; Bill Sahnd, a 1979 graduate who as an offensive lineman was the team's MVP in 1987; and Colleen Williams, a 2013 graduate who ranks second in school history in goals (58) and assists (50).
