Former Reds first baseman Sean Casey is a fan of Players Weekend.
On Players Weekend Aug. 25-27, players will wear nicknames on their jerseys. Casey got into the act on MLB Network, wearing a Reds jersey with “The Mayor” across the back.
“I was the mayor at some point, guys,” Casey said, laughing. “And I still am.”
Casey played for the Reds from 1998-2005. He was a three-time all-star in Cincinnati and was inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame.
