It’s one of the last two matches scheduled for the World Cup champions in 2019. U.S. Soccer also announced a game against Costa Rica on Nov. 10 in Jacksonville, Fla.
According to U.S. Soccer, “the USA has a record of 15-1-2 in 2019, losing only to France in the first match of the year. The U.S. Women are on a 14-game winning streak, which of course includes the run at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France and will finish 2019 having played 22 total matches.”
This will be the ninth U.S. women’s game at MAPFRE Stadium. The team is 6-1-1 in Columbus and has outscored opponents 30-6. The last match came on March 1, 2018, against Germany in a friendly.
Tickets for the game in Columbus go on sale at 10 a.m. Sept. 26 at USSoccer.com.
