Wright State’s Destyne Jackson has been named the freshman of the week in the Horizon League.

Jackson, a redshirt freshman, scored a career-high 16 points in a win over Youngstown State on Friday. She added a team-leading 11 points and six rebounds in Saturday’s win over YSU.

A 5-foot-7 guard, Jackson averages 7.1 points per game for the Raiders (5-3 overall, 5-1 Horizon League).

Wright State returns to action Friday and Saturday at Cleveland State.
