“I cannot live without my EarPlanes and a pack of gum,” said Kim DalPonte of Pixie Dust & Paradise Travel in Chicago. “My ears pop very easily when flying, so those are must-haves when I travel.”
Fuzzy Socks
“I cannot live without my ice roller and fuzzy socks,” said Cassie Staiger Jeter of CS Travel Planners in Bismarck, N. D. “Fuzzy socks are perfect for chilly resort room floors, and ice rolling helps with inflammation and circulation after a long flight.”
Sleep Aids
April Schmitt cannot travel without her Bose Noise Canceling earbuds.
“They are remarkable for canceling out the noise on planes to allow me to sleep, read or work,” said Schmitt, CEO of Divine Destination Weddings & Honeymoons in Granite Bay, Calif.
“I can’t live without my travel foot hammock that hangs over the tray table in front of me and lets me elevate my feet when I sleep,” said Carr.
Pack Point
Amy Sedeno admits she’s a natural over-packer and, as a result, can’t travel without the app, Pack Point.
“It allows me to pack the necessary items needed for business travel, a leisure trip or both,” said Sedeno, CIIC Miami Director in Miami.
“Pack Point asks the traveler a series of questions including date of travel, and place and nature of travel (business, leisure, both). Based on the answers, it creates a personalized packing list, taking into consideration the length of travel, weather at the destination and activities like photography, swimming, hiking, working and more. The list includes items of clothing, personal work items such as computers, chargers, etc. and even toiletries.”
Poo Products
“This may sound strange, but after traveling to Morocco earlier this year, my must-have travel item is now a purse-sized Poo-pourri,” said Stephanie VL Brown, owner of Wanderlust Travels & Adventures in New York City.
“Stomach issues are inconvenient no matter when they pop up, but when it happens while are traveling in a foreign land where you are ingesting new foods and beverages, well, I am sure you can imagine the additional embarrassment and discomfort that comes along with the territory.”
Brown admits that this happened to her when the motorcoach stopped at a rest area on her way from Marrakech to Casablanca.
“Having the Poo-pourri on hand helped to keep the embarrassment level at a minimum,” she said.
