Any reading at 100 or higher is deemed “unhealthy for sensitive groups.” It’s important for people to take action to reduce ground-level ozone (smog), especially on days an advisory is issued. Here are some ways to reduce ground-level ozone:
- Avoid driving if possible
- Refuel your vehicle after 6 p.m.
- If you drive, combine trips
- Limit use of small gasoline-powered equipment
- Mow your lawn after 6 p.m.
