Showers will continue to linger into the overnight, but rain is only expected to be light to moderate, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said.
There will be some breaks in the rain with overnight lows in the lower to middle 60s.
Independence Day: More showers are expected on the Fourth of July, and it looks like we'll be tracking thunderstorms as well. With these storms we could see some locally heavy rain. Some areas could see more than 2 inches of total rainfall. Highs will be in the middle 70s. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect Monday for Butler, Clinton, and Warren counties.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy skies are expected. There is the slight chance for a passing shower. Highs will be in the middle 80s.
Wednesday: The day starts dry, then the chance for rain will increase as showers and storms move in during the evening hours. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy skies are on tap with a couple of pop-up showers and storms. Highs will be near 90 degrees.
Friday: Partly cloudy skies are expected with the chance for more showers and storms. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
