DETAILED FORECAST

Clouds will give way to more clearing overnight, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said.

Temperatures overnight will again fall into the lower 60s with the drier air in place, Collar said.

Sunday: Mostly sunny skies with a few daytime clouds are expected. Winds will be shifting to the south and that will allow a warmer air mass to move in. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s.

Monday: Showers and thunderstorms are expected, some of which could be strong to severe. Strong winds will be the biggest threat. Highs will top out in the upper 80s.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy skies are on tap. Highs will be in the middle 80s.

Wednesday: The sunshine returns with highs again in the middle 80s.

Thursday: We heat up a bit with highs in the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies.
