Dayton expected to hit its 3rd heat wave of the summer this week

In the Miami Valley, a heat wave is classified as three consecutive days or more at or above 90 degrees, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini. Since June, Dayton has had 14 90 degree days, and that list will grow this week.

August 26, 27 and 28 are all expected to reach 90 degrees making it the third heat wave of the summer. June 16-18 and June 30-July 2 were both small heat waves this summer.
