Overnight: Clear skies are expected overnight. “It’ll be another nice night with temperatures dropping into the lower 60s,” Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said.
Thursday: Waking up tomorrow morning with mostly sunny skies and temperatures climbing out of the 60s. It will be another pleasant day with lots of sunshine and low humidity. Highs during the afternoon are expected around the middle 80s, which is seasonal for mid-July. Thursday night will remain mostly clear with temperatures falling back into the lower 60s.
Friday: As high pressure begins to pull east, winds will turn more southerly. This change in wind direction will push in more moisture and heat for the end of the week. Becoming more humid Friday afternoon with highs around 90 degrees. The added humidity will create heat index values in the lower 90s. It will be another dry day with plenty of sunshine.
Saturday:The weekend will start hot and muggy with highs in the lower 90s under partly cloudy skies. When factoring together the heat and humidity it will fell closer to 100 degrees. Staying hydrated and keeping cool is suggested on days like this.
Sunday: Partly cloudy, hot and humid for Sunday with highs in the lower 90s. Again it will feel closer to 100 degrees due to the humidity in place. Sunday afternoon and evening will also come with the chance of a few pop-up showers and thunderstorms.
Monday: Scattered showers and storms are likely for Monday. A few storms may become intense with heavy rain, gusty winds, hail and lightning. Temperatures for the day will rise into the upper 80s; feeling like the lower 90s.
