Rain today, dry weather ahead

Areas of mist and drizzle will persist for the rest of the day and into the evening, said Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek.

The drizzle will provide just enough moisture to keep roads wet at time, he said. Enough cold air will be available tonight for a few wet snow showers early on, but roads will be only wet, he said.

Temperatures will drop slightly below freezing by sunrise, but a decent northerly breeze will dry roads out before any chance of a freeze-over.

Wednesday: A cooler-than-normal day expected. Highs in the mid-30s. A good deal of clouds especially to start the day. Clouds break into the overnight hours allowing temperatures to fall into the mid-20s.

Thursday: A chilly start to the day. Mostly sunny skies. Highs in the upper-30s.

Friday: Sun and a few clouds. Dry stretch continues. Highs in the mid-40s.
