Temperatures to drop to low 40s tonight

Rain is going to taper off for the rest of the evening and cool air is going to settle in.

As clouds break overnight, temperatures will bottom out in the lower 40s and some areas could be in the high 30s.

On Monday highs will be in the 50s and could get back to the mid-60s by Tuesday.

Warm weather is not gone yet, highs will be back near 70 on Thursday and Friday.

DETAILED FORECAST

Today: Showers are expected today and there could be a few storms embedded in the rain, but it looks like the majority of the storms will be to our east. However some downpours and lightning and thunder can't be ruled out. We will see gusty winds throughout the day today. Those winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Highs will be in the lower 70s early, then temperatures will fall through the 60s during the afternoon. We should dry out this evening.

Tonight: Cooler air settles in overnight tonight. Most of us will see lows in the lower 40s, but some spots may dip into the upper 30s.

Monday: Cooler weather filters in for Monday as we only see highs in the upper 50s under mostly sunny skies.

Tuesday: Sunshine returns on Tuesday as we get back into the middle 60s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny skies are expected Wednesday with highs in the upper 60s.

Thursday: We're back near 70 degrees Thursday under mostly sunny skies.
