WRIGHT PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE—The heat and humidity will begin to build as we wrap up the week and head into the weekend, said Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

Temperatures will get close to 90 degrees this afternoon and soar into the lower to middle 90s Saturday. Humid conditions will also develop, pushing the heat index to near 100 degrees over the weekend.
Sunshine is expected for Friday and Saturday before a slow approaching cold front brings the threat for storms late in the weekend. Storms will likely linger into early next week.
