WPAFB Tuesday Weather: Chilly start, sunshine expected across the Miami Valley

WRIGHT PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE—A quiet but chilly start to the day is expected with lots of sunshine across the Miami Valley, according to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

Temperatures will climb from near freezing early in the morning into the upper 50s by late afternoon. Clouds will begin to move back in tonight through early Wednesday with rain developing by mid-morning.

On and off rain showers will linger through the day and into the evening with more widespread rain arriving on Thursday. Rainfall amounts for both days are expected to stay near or under 1 inch. After reaching into the upper 50s Thursday, colder air will move in by late afternoon.

The rain may mix with snow briefly before ending Thursday night or early Friday morning. Skies are expected to clear Friday with sunshine and cooler temperatures for the weekend.
