WPAFB Tuesday Weather: Possible morning slick spots, cold temperatures continue

WRIGHT PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE—Watch out for slick spots to start the day with temperatures hovering in the upper teens, said Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds through the day with temperatures staying cold, only reaching into the upper 20s.

After another chilly night, gusty southerly winds will develop on Wednesday which will push temperatures back into the lower to middle 40s. Clouds will be on the increase though with the threat for some rain showers Wednesday evening. As temperatures drop Wednesday night, rain may mix with some snow and lingering into Thursday morning before ending. Little if any snow accumulation is expected.

Temperatures will fall back into the 20s for highs on Friday. A strong cold front is forecast to arrive late Saturday bringing with it a better chance for some accumulating snow followed by another blast of arctic air to begin next week.
