WPAFB Tuesday Weather: Temps continue to climb; possible afternoon showers

WRIGHT PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE—A warmer day is in the forecast as some sunshine will allow temperatures to climb into the lower 80s, according to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

A storm system approaching from the west will bring the threat for scattered showers and storms by mid to late afternoon. Storms should weaken as the push eastward into the Miami Valley.

While the threat for storms will diminish tonight, storms are expected to return Wednesday. Depending on how much sunshine mixes in Wednesday, a few storms could be strong.

Drier weather returns the rest of the week with a major warm-up coming. Highs will reach the lower 90s by Friday.
