The main threat from storms will be from locally heavy rainfall.

However, there is a chance for damaging winds and hail with some of the stronger storms if they develop.

Storms will taper off Tuesday night with much of the area getting a break from the rain on Wednesday. However the heat will be on the rise.

High temperatures will climb into the middle 80s today, but will soar to near 90 degrees on Wednesday. The humidity may make it feel hotter, especially in the late afternoon and evening.
