The 2015 version will be held on Aug. 29 at the plaza at Fourth and Main streets adjacent to Crowne Plaza Hotel. It will feature beers from more than 150 craft breweries.
“This is a great opportunity to attract tourism to our city and showcase all that Dayton has to offer,” said Jennifer Dean, co-owner of Alefest Dayton along with Amanda Pond. Dean and Pond purchased the AleFest event from founder Joe Waizmann last year after Waizmann co-founded Warped Wing Brewing Co. in downtown Dayton.
The event’s charity partner is Dayton Ohio Habitat for Humanity.
Event organizers said AleFest tickets will be offered at 2014 ticket prices before those prices rise on March 1. Tickets are available online at www.AleFest.com.
The organizers’ winter event, AleFeast, will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Dayton Masonic Center in downtown Dayton.
