CareSource expanding in West Virginia

Downtown Dayton-based CareSource, a nonprofit Medicaid managed care company that also sells private insurance on health insurance marketplaces in four states, is expanding its marketplace business in West Virginia.

Entering its second year in the West Virginia market in 2017, CareSource will more than triple the number of counties where it provides marketplace coverage, expanding its Just4Me brand insurance products from 10 to 32 counties, company officials confirmed Thursday.

In addition to West Virginia, CareSource also sells marketplace plans in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky and has more than 100,000 marketplace members.

Open enrollment in the health insurance marketplaces, created by the Affordable Care Act, begins Nov. 1 in every state.
