Caterpillar to be at world’s ‘largest’ construction equipment show

Caterpillar Inc. is showcasing its products starting Monday, April 19, at the world’s largest construction industry trade show, Bauma 2010 in Munich, Germany, the company said.

Caterpillar products are to be showcased by industry: paving and road construction, heavy construction, general construction, quarry and aggregates, industrial, rental and work tools, the company said.

“Bauma provides us a tremendous opportunity to engage our customers and showcase Caterpillar products and services in a region of the world that is important to the company’s success and future growth,” Doug Oberhelman, Caterpillar vice chairman and chief executive-elect, said in a statement from the company.

Caterpillar Logistics intends to build a $1.3 million-square-foot distribution center in Clayton. The center is expected to employ 500 to 600 people when completed.
