Centerville library to offer free business courses

CENTERVILLE - A series of free business seminars will be offered later this month and in October by the Washington-Centerville Public Library and SCORE, a nonprofit small business counseling service, according to a news release.

All the courses will be offered from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on their respective dates at the Centerville branch of the library, 111 W. Spring Valley Road, the release states.

The courses include:

- “Successful Habits of the Sales Professional” will be offered on Thursday, Sept. 23, and Monday, Oct. 11, will give an overview of selling skills and instructs participants in critical stages of the sales process.

- “Basic Web Design and Marketing” on Wednesday, Oct. 6. Earl Gregorich of Tactical Insights LLC will explore such topics as how the web works, the components necessary to build a site and Internet marketing strategies.

- “Business Planning for the Small Company” will be offered Wednesday, Oct. 13. The course will examine the development, monitoring and execution of a business plan.
