Cincinnati company acquires Springboro manufacturer

Milacron LLC recently completed the acquisition of a Springboro manufacturer, American Extrusion Services (AES), a company that services extrusion machines and offers extrusion parts repair.

AES has been in business for 25 years offering extrusion, gearbox, field service and repair. AES’ staff will join Milacron and will continue to be based in Springboro at its current location, 235 Advanced Drive.

David Allison — president and owner of American Extrusion Services since the spring of 2012 — will serve as director of extrusion services with Milacron. Allison is a veteran of companies such as BF Goodrich, Newell-Rubbermaid and Honda.

“We are thrilled to welcome David and his team to Milacron,” Dean Roberts, president of aftermarket at Milacron, said in a statement. “David will be an asset here, helping to give Milacron a new offering for our customers – quick and effective extrusion machine and gearbox repair.”

“I am excited to join the Milacron family, and look forward to my new role with this well-established company,” Allison said in the same announcement. “The change will give AES the opportunity to reach a much broader audience and provide existing customers with enhanced quality and service.”

Cincinnati-based Milacron has more than 4,000 employees globally.

Dayton’s Provest Properties business brokerage served as intermediary for the acquisition.
