Clark State, Greene County to provide ISO training

The Dayton Region Manufacturers Association will present a “Breakfast with DRMA” event April 22 to provide area businesses with information about an ISO training opportunity, according to a media release.

Clark State Community College, in partnership with the Greene County Department of Development, is offering an ISO 9001 and AS9100 Implementation Consortium to provide training and support to implement the certifications at a substantially discounted price, officials said.

“Participation in this consortium not only provides a company with an opportunity to implement and then ultimately become certified to an industry-accepted international quality management system standard, but it comes at a critical time in Southwest Ohio,” said Pete Williams, Greene County development director, in a statement.

Officials said ISO 9001 is a critical component to any company planning to do business with the U.S. Air Force. The AS9100 system implementation and training will open up companies to a rapidly expanding aerospace manufacturing supply chain in Ohio.

The informational event will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m on April 21 at the Holiday Inn Dayton-Fairborn at 2800 Presidential Drive in Fairborn. For more information or registration, visit the website at DaytonRMA.org.
