Company to bring 24 jobs to Dayton

DAYTON — A Beavercreek manufacturing business has agreed to move its operations to Dayton and bring 24 jobs along with it.

JBK Manufacturing LLC was awarded a $40,000 grant by the city Wednesday to relocate its operations to 2127 Troy St. The company manufactures items from the defense and aerospace industries and plans to create 13 new jobs in the city with an average salary of $45,000.

The company, founded in 1981, plans to invest about $1 million in the relocation project and has a client base that includes GE Aviation, Rolls-Royce Aerospace and Bell Helicopter. City officials said the company was also considering a site in Richmond, Ind.

“I think it’s encouraging because it’s an aerospace manufacture providing components to big companies,” said Dayton city spokesman Bryan Taulbee. “It will boost the overall presence of the aerospace industry and economy in Dayton and employ skilled employees.”
