PSA operates 55 daily flights from Ronald Reagan National. That number has grown nearly 400 percent since November 2014, and the airline said in its announcement that it expects that number to continue to grow.
PSA plans to continue adding departures operated for American from that airport, which offers the opportunity to open a new crew domicile, it said.
“This is exciting news for PSA as we grow our crew base footprint and offer new domiciles for our employees,” Dion Flannery, PSA president, said in his company’s statement. “Today’s announcement is proof of our growth and stability and further positions PSA as the airline of choice for the best aviators in the business.”
The wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group has doubled its fleet size and employee base since the announcement of the airline’s growth plans in December 2013. This will be the airline’s second added crew base since the start of this expansion.

PSA Airlines operates an all-jet fleet consisting of exclusively Bombardier regional jet airplanes. The company’s more than 2,500 employees operate nearly 700 daily flights to nearly 90 destinations.
