Dayton Mall inks new retail shop

Zumiez, a retailer that caters to enthusiasts of board sports such as skateboard, surfboarding and snowboarding, will open a store in the Dayton Mall this summer, according to mall officials.

The retailer announced last month it was opening a shop inside the Mall at Fairfield Commons. That Beavercreek store is scheduled to open in early fall.

Lynnwood, Washington-based Zumiez was founded in 1978 and now operates more than 400 retail stores in the U.S., including two in the Columbus area.
