Compton served previously as president and chief executive officer of Park National Bank. Before that he was with Fifth Third Bank from 1989 through 2004, working in the Dayton, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, and Evansville, Indiana markets, company executives.
According to Mike Michael, president and chief executive of Fifth Third Bank (Greater Cincinnati), Compton brings a broad range of experience working with large
corporate, international, middle market, healthcare, and leasing customers to the bank.
Michael said Compton will be active in the Dayton business and non-profit community.
He will work with Steve Petitjean, who was recently named city executive for the bank’s greater Dayton operation.
“We have a significant commitment to greater Dayton and we are supporting that commitment with two top executives who are and will continue to be part of the fabric of the community,” Michael said.
