The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center has awarded a $49 million, five-year contract to a Dayton defense contractor, according to the Department of Defense.

MacAulay-Brown Inc. of Dayton was one of six contractors to bid on the deal that ends in June 2022, according to the Defense Department.

MacAulay-Brown will provide engineering and technical support and assessments of system capabilities, threats and vulnerabilities, the Pentagon said.

The work will be performed at the nuclear weapons center at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M.

The company, which has a corporate headquarters in Dayton, has more than 1,500 employees worldwide.
