New Sugarcreek Twp. yogurt shop to open in mid-August

The Dayton area’s second Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt shop is projected to open in mid-August at 6252 Wilmington Pike, the co-owner of the franchise yogurt shop said this morning.

“We will be open in second week of August, depending on how the inspections go through,” said B.J. Patel, who also co-owns six other Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt locations in the Cincinnati area, including shops in Oxford and West Chester. The franchise owner’s projected opening date is about two weeks later than what was announced in a press release sent to local media outlets Wednesday by Orange Leaf’s Oklahoma City corporate headquarters.

The new yogurt shop, located in space that formerly housed a CiCi’s Pizza restaurant, will open with 10 to 15 employees. It will seat 50 to 60 inside and will share an outdoor patio with a Starbucks that is also under construction at the same address.

Orange Leaf opened its first Dayton-area location in the Town & Country shopping center in Kettering last year, under a different franchise owner. The frozen yogurt chain operates 280 stores in the U.S. and Australia.
