The application was publicly released Monday.
Some 80 new jobs, at an average annual salary of $55,000, could be created in a new Good Sam ER, the city said in its application. The city seeks $500,000 in county development funds for that project, which would involve a 96,000-square-foot addition.
The hospital does not have an ER at the North site today, said Renee Roberts, a spokeswoman for Good Samaritan Hospital and Good Samaritan North. The main Good Sam Hospital is at 2222 Philadelphia Drive.
The proposal depends on approval by the Premier Health Board of Trustees, Roberts said. She did not know when the board may vote on the matter, but she confirmed that 80 new jobs could be created.
Roberts said hospital leaders see a need to at least consider an ER there. “This seems to be the right place to look at that proposal,” she said.
The county is receiving applications for development funds to support other business expansions. Applications for county development “ED/GE” (Economic Development/Government Equity) funds are due by 5 p.m. today. Funds are awarded twice a year, spring and fall, to projects chosen by a committee of local leaders and approved by Montgomery County Commission.
Among the applications released Monday: A Vandalia manufacturer wants to expand an existing building, creating more than 30 jobs. And Prime Time Party Rental in Moraine wants to expand in West Carrollton, creating 33 new jobs, according to an ED/GE bid from West Carrollton.
Manufactured Assemblies Corp. wants to expand an existing building by 14,000 square feet and buy 3.4 acres in the Stonequarry Crossings business park, according to one of a pair of applications from Vandalia.
That project could create 35 jobs, at an average annual salary of $21,424, and retain an existing 90 jobs, at an average annual salary of nearly $30,000.
Vandalia is requesting $50,000 for the project.
Defense contractor Gayston Corp. wants to move from Springboro to Miamisburg, the city of Miamisburg said in its ED/GE application. Moving to 721 Richard St. would help the metals fabricator to create 25 new jobs at an average annual salary of $42,000, the city said. About 70 existing jobs would be retained.
Miamisburg seeks $200,000 in county money.
In West Carrollton, Prime Time Party Rental wants to modify and expand a building at 5225 Springboro Pike, in a project that would create 33 jobs, at an average annual salary of $21,500, according to West Carrollton’s application. Sixty-seven existing jobs would be retained.
Prime Time currently has a West Dorothy Lane location in Moraine. In letters included in the application, Moraine officials acknowledge the company’s desire to move, and Thomas Ross, West Carrollton development director, wrote that his city has committed $147,665 to the project in incentives.
Also in Vandalia, Integrated Procurement Technologies plans to build a parts distribution warehouse near its current offices on South Brown School Road, creating three new jobs and retaining 3.5 jobs. The city is asking for $25,000.
