Emerson Climate Technologies mobile application adds bar code scanning

Sidney-based Emerson Climate Technologies Inc. has launched an updated version of its popular Copeland X-Ref mobile application for wholesalers and contractors, company officials said.

The free mobile app provides on-the-go access to Emerson’s online compressor cross-reference database for air conditioning products, allowing HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) professionals to get product specifications and determine compatible replacement Copeland compressors.

Copeland X-Ref version 3.0 includes now offers compressor bar code scanning and improved “where to buy” listings, officials said. In addition to pulling up information using the first three digits of a compressor model number, contractors can now use the new label bar code scanning feature to quickly search Emerson’s online database for replacement product information.

The Copeland X-Ref mobile app is available for Apple, Android and Blackberry devices.

Emerson Climate Technologies, a business unit of St. Louis-based Emerson, is headquartered in Sidney.
