According to a letter sent to the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, Spectrum anticipates to start eliminating positions on April 30, and close the facility on July 5.
The company doesn’t have any union agreements, and all impacted employees have been alerted.

Spectrum Brand’s new manufacturing and distribution center is being opened near Dayton International Airport, off U.S. 40, for the company’s Global Auto Care Division. Approximately $33 million has been invested in the center.

Spectrum Brands’ products are available in more than one million stores in about 160 countries. Based in Middleton, Wisc., Spectrum Brands Holdings has some 15,500 employees in 50 countries and generated net sales of about $4.69 billion in fiscal 2015.
