French Oil names new president, elects director

French Oil Mill Machinery Co., a Piqua-based manufacturer of hydraulic presses, oilseed and polymer equipment, has appointed a new president and elected a new member to its board of directors.

The company’s board of directors this week named Jason P. McDaniel as president and chief operating officer, according to a media release. McDaniel joined French Oil in 1996 as a manufacturing engineer in the Oilseed Group. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

McDaniel succeeds Daniel P. French, who will remain actively involved with the company as board chairman and chief executive officer.

At the French Oil annual stockholders meeting, Taylor French Lutz was elected to serve on the company’s board of directors. Lutz joined French Oil in 2010 as marketing director. She is the fourth generation of the French family to be employed by the company.

French Oil Mill Machinery is a family-owned company founded in 1900 and headquartered in Piqua.
