What: Fuyao Glass America recruitment event

Fuyao continues to look for workers for its Moraine plant.
Fuyao Glass America Inc. will hold an “information and recruitment event” Tuesday at the Greene County Career Center, to fill positions at the new automotive glass manufacturing plant in Moraine.
Attendees can register to attend the event at workforce.sinclair.edu.
“The session will provide attendees with an introduction to Fuyao’s vision for the new plant, and allow for those interested to begin the application process by signing up through the OhioMeansJobs-Montgomery County web site,” a press release from the jobs office said.
An electronic copy of a resume is required for those who want to apply.
“We’ve had a fantastic response from job seekers who attended the initial recruitment events held on Sinclair’s campus throughout December, and we’re looking forward to expanding them out into the community in January,” Deb Norris, vice president of Sinclair Workforce Development, said in a statement issued Wednesday afternoon.

Other events are scheduled in the area. A session in Eaton will be held 5 p.m. Friday at Eaton High School auditorium, 600 Hillcrest Drive. Another in Troy will be held 5:30 p.m. Monday at Troy High School, 151 W. Staunton Road.
Fuyao Chairman Cao Dewang has said he intends to have about 1,000 workers at the plant by the time it’s fully operational.
Fuyao bought 1.2 million square feet of a former General Motors plant off Ohio 741 and West Stroop Road for $15 million last May.
