Hartzell Air Movement launches new marine fan

Hartzell Air Movement, a Piqua-based industrial ventilation company, has launched a new metric marine duty fan, company officials announced.

Common applications for the marine fan include oil rigs, work boats and supply vessels, where it can be used to ventilate areas such as engine rooms or crew cabins.

Officials said the company has the capability to manufacture the Series 47M fan at its Singapore location, as well as its plants in the U.S., to benefit its customers across the globe.

“This fan will really benefit our international customers because it is a true metric fan designed to work with IEC motors,” said Tom Gustafson, Hartzell’s chief technology officer, in a statement. The company plans to develop and manufacture more metric fans, he said.

Hartzell Air Movement is a maker of general and process ventilation equipment. The company has been in business since 1875 and has manufacturing facilities in Ohio, Indiana and Singapore.
