PIQUA — Hartzell Propeller Inc. said it has an agreement to distribute Defense Holdings Inc.’s photoluminescent paint on Hartzell’s line of aircraft propellers.
Under the agreement, Hartzell becomes the worldwide distributor for application of Defense Holding’s AfterGlo Brand PL safety paint on propellers installed on engines from 150 shaft horsepower up to 1,800 shaft horsepower.
The paint is used for safety markings to make propellers more visible in low light.
Hartzell, based in Piqua, makes propellers for general aviation markets. Defense Holdings, based in Arlington, Va., develops technology and products for defense and homeland security markets.
