Health group among “most wired” in U.S.

Mercy Health, which includes Community Mercy Health Partners, has been recognized for its use of technology to improve patient care. Ohio’s largest health system was named to the 16th annual Hospitals and Health Networks Most Wired Hospitals and Health Systems.

“We are very excited about being recognized by Hospitals & Health Networks for our use of technology in healthcare,” Denise Craven, director of IT Relationship Management for Mercy Health in the Springfield market.

Recognition was based on four categories: infrastructure, business and administrative management, clinical quality and safety, and clinical integration. Areas such as allowing patients to check test results via a portal, offering an app that provides access to the portal, and providing secure messaging were considered.

CMHP and other Mercy Health markets have implemented CarePATH, a comprehensive electronic health record system using Epic Systems information technology. The technology enables CHP to maintain a single, continuously updated record for each patient that can be accessed by provider teams anytime, anywhere.
